Natal Airport Upgrades Lighting with SX Lighting LED

One of the main airport terminals in the Northeast, Governador Aluízio Alves International Airport, located in São Gonçalo do Amarante/RN, now features high-performance LED lighting from SX Lighting.

To ensure greater safety and energy efficiency, the entrance to the boarding area underwent a lighting modernization process using SX LED luminaires.

The previous lighting did not meet the desired standards for a high-traffic area, compromising visibility and increasing maintenance costs. Therefore, a lighting solution was needed to provide energy efficiency, durability to withstand outdoor conditions, and architectural enhancement.

The project used 150 SX-LIH High Bay 100W luminaires, with an efficiency of 178 lm/W, ensuring uniform luminous output and offering benefits such as:

Additionally, the lighting modernization extended to the airport’s surrounding ring road, where 100W SX-LPP Plus public luminaires were installed.

This modernization of Natal Airport enhanced its architectural appeal, significantly reduced maintenance and energy costs, and improved safety and visibility for traffic.
