The Companhia do Metropolitano de São Paulo - Metrô transports 5 million people a day. Line Yellow itself is responsible for the commuting of 750 thousand daily. It is controlled by São Paulo State’s Government under the administration of the Metropolitan Transpostation State Secretariat (STM). In 2017, the subway network hit the milestone of 1.3 billion passengers transported, being São Paulo’s Subway responsible for the transportation of 1.1 billion of those passengers, being recognized worldwide for the results achieved in production and service quality in public passenger transport on rails.
